More than ever our world needs the wisdom of women with the experience of  passing through the maiden and mother stages, of living with uncertainty, within systems of patriarchy and systemic injustice, of surviving however difficult the journey has been. The woman who has healed, who holds her loss and grief as part of her humanity, whose ways of knowing supports other women to heal.  Your crone is needed.

 

Your courage, your loss, your wounded heart, your aging body  – your very existence is a signal fire to the women who will come after you.  As women with the courage to stand in the truth of endings, to find belonging and meaning in times of uncertainty, and to live with realities and joys of aging, will light the way for those who come after us..

 The world needs elder women to tend the threshold of our future.
